Enjoyable event with some useful feedback from our instructor Matt. I've done this particular course twice before, and so covered the same physical areas in the central city. I still found new things though so am very pleased I did it, plus of course it's a great opportunity to chat with other hobby photographers.

Matt talked us through what we had to do to successfully get the shots we all wanted. He spent time with us as a group and individually. His knowledge and ability to pass it on is great and his friendly manner makes it a pleasure. I would recommend this short course to anyone. 10/10. Well done Matt.

Originally from Derbyshire, England. I came to New Zealand when I was seven years old. In my last two years of high school, I did photography as an elective and I became passionate about it. I decided to further study in photography, and I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a Post Grad Diploma in Creative Arts at Ara. In 2019 I was fortunate to be one of one of three students to be nominated for the New Zealand Student Photographer of the year award. At this present time my business revolves around photographing events/sports but I also distribute my Wildlife/landscape and creative art photography.

My photography journey began at Christmas with the Cannon EOS R10. Most weeks I am attending an event or completing courses to learn as much as possible about my camera. On Saturday I attended a street photography session guided by Matthew Musson. I decided to continue wondering around town and take a picture of the Diamond Jubilee Clock Tower as I have driven past it many times and not appreciate its beauty closely.I love the balance of the stained-glass colours with the bright white clock

As the seasons change, I grew curious about the fauna that might appear during the cooler months. On the morning of April 12, I visited &332ruapaeroa?Travis Wetland without a set plan, simply hoping to chance upon a rare bird that might be passing through. I wasn?t expecting much, but while continuing to learn and practice my photography, I unexpectedly spotted a duckling. It wasn?t my original subject?I had been framing another nearby bird?when a sudden flutter caught my attention. Fortunatel
